EcoMarines at Our School
EcoMarines is our student sustainability team! We are environmental leaders who help look after our school and our planet. As EcoMarines, we run projects like our recycling programs. We take action, work as a team, and make a positive difference in our school and community.
EcoMarines is open to all students from Year 1 – 6
We meet on Thursdays at Second Break Playtime, 12:40pm, in the STEM room.
Garden Gurus
Garden Gurus are the students who help grow and care for our school gardens. We plant, water, weed, harvest, and look after our garden spaces so everyone can enjoy them. As Garden Gurus, we learn how to grow food sustainably, care for living things, and work together to keep our school green and healthy.
Garden Gurus is open to all students from Year 1 – 6
We meet on Mondays and Tuesdays at Second Break Playtime, 12:40pm, at the gardens.
Keep an eye on our socials for the opening of our Kitchen garden shop on Mondays before and after assembly
(harvests dependent on seasonal availability)
Chicken Champions
Chicken Champions are students from Years 2 and 3 who are chosen by Mrs Armstrong to help care for our school chickens. We make sure the chickens are safe, fed, and happy, collect eggs, and use food scraps for composting. As Chicken Champions, we learn responsibility, teamwork, and sustainability while caring for living things and helping reduce waste at our school.
Chess Club
Chess club meets Monday at Second Break at the bottom of the Year 5/6 stairs.
